2009 discharge: European Railway Agency ERA
"2009 discharge: European Railway Agency ERA" is a discharge procedure, through which Parliament decides whether to sign off on how an EU body executed its budget. The Committee on Transport and Tourism handled it under the subject of previous discharges. The tabled amendments note that the Court of Auditors found the Agency's 2009 accounts reliable and the underlying transactions legal and regular, while expressing concern over cancellations and delays in procurement and payments. They request a report on unspent appropriations carried over, note the lack of a centralised system for registering incoming invoices, regret shortcomings in fixed-asset inventory management, suggest a single seat and conference centre when the remit is reviewed, and propose granting the Executive Director discharge for the 2009 budget.
