Summary
Own-initiative report on developing the common security and defence policy following the Lisbon Treaty. Amendments discuss the EU's strategic autonomy, common political objectives, strategic partnerships and pooling of financial, military and civilian resources, the CFSP/CSDP framework and the role of the High Representative/Vice-President, the United Nations Charter and Security Council, NATO, the solidarity and mutual defence clauses, with some amendments opposing militarisation and favouring a civil foreign policy.
