Summary
A proposed regulation on the common organisation of the markets in fishery and aquaculture products. Amendments strengthen the objectives and recognition of producer organisations and inter-branch organisations, support small-scale inshore and non-industrial fisheries, promote sustainable fishing, selectivity and the landing and disposal of unwanted catches, address traceability, ecolabelling and consumer information, and set representativeness thresholds and competition-rule compliance.
