Summary

Proposed regulation on the definition, description, presentation, labelling and protection of geographical indications of aromatised wine products. Amendments set actual alcoholic strength ranges, allow organic production, address sugar content and the terms 'semi-sweet' and 'sweet', regulate sales denominations, provenance indications and protected geographical indications, set rules for languages and non-Latin alphabets, and govern the objection, protection and amendment procedures with the Commission's implementing and delegated acts.
