Summary
This dossier is a recast of the rules on markets in financial instruments. The amendments expand competent authorities' supervisory powers (requesting information, telephone and data traffic records, mystery shopping, freezing or sequestration of assets), tighten administrative sanctions and their publication, address commodity derivatives, emission allowances and position limits, and cover trading venues such as regulated markets, MTFs, OTFs and Systematic Internalisers.
