Summary
This consultation dossier concerns administrative cooperation in the field of excise duties. The amendments address exchange of information between competent authorities and central excise liaison offices, requests for administrative enquiries, feedback mechanisms, penalties and time limits, retention and protection of personal data under Directive 95/46/EC, implementing powers conferred on the Commission, cooperation with third countries, a VAT and excise duties forum, and Commission reporting on excise fraud.
