Consular protection for unrepresented citizens of the Union in third countries

This dossier concerns consular protection for unrepresented citizens of the Union in third countries. The amendments set out cooperation between assisting Member States, Union delegations and the citizen's Member State of nationality, the right to protection by another Member State's embassy or consulate or a Union delegation, burden-sharing arrangements notified to the Commission, crisis situations and evacuation, third-country family members, and refugees and stateless persons.
