Farm input supply chain: structure and implications

An own-initiative report on the structure and implications of the farm input supply chain. The amendments document rising input costs for energy, fertilisers, feed, machinery, land and water relative to farmgate prices, dependence on fossil fuels and phosphate rock, the gap between producer and consumer prices, and high market concentration among agrochemical and seed suppliers, with particular attention to young farmers and remote regions.
