Summary

"Mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund: redundancies in the graphic media industry in the Netherlands (Zuid-Holland and Utrecht)" is a budgetary procedure concerning the mobilisation of EU funds. The Committee on Budgets handled it under electronics and ICT industries, industrial restructuring and the Globalisation Adjustment Fund, and previous annual budgets. The tabled amendments recall that the EGF was established to help workers made redundant by major structural changes in world trade patterns rejoin the labour market. They note the Commission found the application met the EGF Regulation's eligibility criteria, stress that assistance must not replace employer or national obligations, note the 2011 budget shows EUR 47 608 950 in payment appropriations on budget line 04 05 01, and call for a detailed qualitative evaluation of the EGF.
