Voluntary and unpaid donation of tissues and cells

The own-initiative report concerns voluntary and unpaid donation of tissues and cells. The amendments stress that donation should be voluntary, unpaid and anonymous and that the human body and its parts must not be a source of financial gain, governed by consent and protective ethical rules; they address donor and recipient health and safety, traceability, the risks of egg-cell donation, limiting compensation to actual expenses, and self-sufficiency in supply.
