Daphne programme: achievements and future prospects

This own-initiative dossier reviews the achievements and future prospects of the Daphne programme. Amendments stress continued and adequate funding to combat violence against women, children and young people, raise concern that the programme would be merged into the Rights and Citizenship Programme with violence against women not named among objectives, and call for simpler application procedures and reduced administrative burden for NGOs.
