Annual report of the activities of the Committee on Petitions 2011

This own-initiative dossier is the annual report on the activities of the Committee on Petitions for 2011. The amendments revise recitals on the Treaty-based right to petition, the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the European Citizens' Initiative, the Committee's work with the Commission as Guardian of the Treaty, admissible and inadmissible petitions, environmental concerns including the Habitats Directive, property rights and the Spanish Ley de Costas, and the European Ombudsman.
