Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the external dimension of the common fisheries policy. The amendments address sustainable fisheries agreements with developing and partner countries, fair cost of access reflecting resource value and surplus stocks under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, human rights and good governance clauses, sectoral support, scientific stock assessment and transparency, regional fisheries management organisations, and combating illegal, unregulated and unreported fishing.
