Summary
A proposed directive on the fight against fraud to the Union's financial interests by means of criminal law. Amendments develop a common definition of fraud covering expenditure and revenue including VAT, conduct by tenderers and public officials, sanctions for natural persons including imprisonment ranges, the relationship between criminal penalties and administrative measures, and cooperation between Member States, the Court of Auditors, national audit institutions and OLAF.
