Social Investment Pact - as a response to the crisis

Own-initiative report on a Social Investment Pact as a response to the crisis. Amendments reference Commission communications and the Europe 2020 strategy, debate the effects of the economic and financial crisis and austerity measures on employment, public finances and social investment, address unemployment including youth and long-term unemployment, poverty and social exclusion, education and skills mismatches with labour-market needs, pressure on welfare states, and the role of well-targeted social investments.
