Future role of the Court of Auditors. Procedure for the nomination of Members of the Court of Auditors: consultation of the European Parliament

An own-initiative report on the future role of the Court of Auditors and the procedure for nominating its Members through consultation of the European Parliament. The amendments stress the Court's independence, integrity and professionalism and its international audit standards, address the appointment of Members under the Treaty and disagreements between Parliament and the Council, and discuss the statement of assurance (DAS) on the legality and regularity of payments.
