Situation of fundamental rights: standards and practices in Hungary (pursuant to the European Parliament resolution of 16 February 2012)

This own-initiative report addresses the situation of fundamental rights in Hungary. Amendments reference Hungary's Fundamental Law and its amendments, electoral reform and voter registration, judicial independence and judges' retirement age, and media regulation, citing the Constitutional Court, the Court of Justice, the Commission and the Council of Europe. Several contest the report as one-sided or exceeding Parliament's competence.
