Summary
Decision on the 2011 discharge for the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA). Amendments variously grant, postpone or close the accounts, note Court of Auditors findings on budget commitments not related to legal commitments, weaknesses in asset management and depreciation of intangible assets, and the under-value sale of two sweeping-arms systems for at-sea oil recovery, and demand scrutiny of possible conflicts of interest when the Agency hires staff from the sector it supervises.
