Summary
Parliament's resolution on mobilising the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for redundancies in the mobile phone sector in Romania. The amendments note Romania's first EGF application, the lengthy evaluation period, training and skills recognition for redundant workers, Nokia's relocation of production from Germany to Romania and on to Asia, related dismissals in Cluj and Salo in Finland, social partners, unemployment in the Cluj-Napoca region, and calls for faster mobilisation.
