This dossier concerns the return of cultural objects unlawfully removed from the territory of a Member State, a recast. The amendments address the definition of national treasures and cultural objects under Article 36 of the Treaty, administrative cooperation through the Internal Market Information System, time limits for return proceedings, publication of information, an advisory committee of national experts, and due diligence, good faith and compensation of possessors.
