Summary
An own-initiative report on sexual and reproductive health and rights. The amendments sharply diverge, some urging access to services including voluntary family planning, contraception and safe abortion and combating sex-selective abortion and gender-based violence, others asserting legal protection of the child before birth, conscientious objection, national sovereignty over abortion and that the term creates no new human right, citing the Cairo Programme of Action.
