Summary
Own-initiative report on rethinking education. The amendments call on Member States to increase investment in quality education and training, with a focus on active citizenship, transversal, entrepreneurial and STEM-related skills, digital literacy and foreign languages, to tackle youth unemployment and skills/labour-market mismatches, safeguard inclusive lifelong-learning systems for vulnerable groups and pupils with special educational needs, and address early school-leaving and teacher recruitment.
