Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the effects of budgetary constraints on regional and local authorities regarding the EU's Structural Funds expenditure in the Member States. The amendments criticise austerity and the Troika (Commission, ECB and IMF), defend cohesion policy as boosting investment, growth and employment, oppose macroeconomic conditionality, and address the European Social Fund, reste a liquider, the Europe 2020 strategy and the Stability and Growth Pact.
