Negotiations for an EU/Malaysia partnership and cooperation agreement. Recommendation to the Council, the Commission and the EEAS

This own-initiative dossier sets out a recommendation on negotiations for an EU/Malaysia partnership and cooperation agreement. The amendments revise citations and recitals on Malaysia's membership of ASEAN, APEC and other organisations, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, its multicultural society, parliamentary elections and economic policies, and add recommendations on human rights and fundamental freedoms, civil society, media freedom, the death penalty, and the South China Sea.
