Summary
This own-initiative report concerns corruption in the public and private sectors and its impact on human rights in third countries. Amendments define corruption as the abuse of entrusted power for private gain under the UNCAC, link it to human rights violations, weakened judiciaries and harm to disadvantaged groups, cite figures on illicit financial flows from developing countries, and highlight journalists, civil society and access to information.
