This own-initiative report concerns historical memory in education and culture in the EU. The amendments revise the citations and recitals on Europe's history and the experience of totalitarian and criminal systems — variously naming National Socialism, Fascism, Communism, Stalinism, colonialism and slavery — referencing the Charter of Fundamental Rights, remembrance of victims, the House of European History, and the European Union's foundation on shared values.
