Summary
This dossier sets up a Union system of supply chain due diligence obligations for importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten, their ores and gold originating in conflict-affected and high-risk areas. Amendments address the link between natural-resource revenues and violent conflict, human rights abuses in the extractive industry, alignment with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, and extending due diligence and public reporting to companies first placing covered resources on the market.
