The amendments stress the employment potential of seas and oceans through innovation in sectors such as shipbuilding, aquaculture, port infrastructure, fisheries and renewable/offshore energy, the role of SMEs, marine research and skills, environmental sustainability and protection of marine ecosystems, social dialogue, and data collection.
