Summary
This dossier concerns packaging and packaging waste resource efficiency within the circular economy package. The amendments rework how recycling and preparation-for-reuse weights are measured and counted toward targets, address packaging waste sent to or exported from Member States, extended producer responsibility, eco-design, recycled content, deposit-refund schemes, European standards for materials entering final recycling, and phasing out hazardous substances.
