Review of the European neighbourhood policy

The dossier reviews the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). Amendments restate the policy's aim of shared stability, security and prosperity with neighbouring countries and revise recitals on the neighbourhood's instability and deteriorating human rights and democratisation; they stress developing civil society, social partners and the business community, fundamental freedoms, gender equality and women's empowerment, the social dimension, association agreements, and the role of European companies, referencing the Treaty on European Union.
