Summary
Own-initiative report on procedures and practices for commissioner hearings, drawing lessons from the 2014 process. Amendments treat the public hearings of Commissioners-designate as an established practice, propose changes to Annex XVI to the Rules of Procedure and Rule 118, request that Member States nominate candidates by a deadline and put forward male and female candidates, and address opening statements, follow-up questions and the role of media and social media.
