Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): GRÓBARCZYK Marek Józef (ECR)
Summary
Own-initiative report on building a European Energy Union. Amendments split sharply on whether to welcome or oppose the Commission's efforts, debating energy poverty and solidarity between Member States, a Common External Energy Policy linked to foreign and security policy, a level playing field between European and non-European producers, and revising energy and climate targets for efficiency and renewables upwards.
