The 2014 discharge for the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA). The amendments postpone the discharge decision and closure of the accounts, address carryovers, whistleblower protection and conflict-of-interest rules, EIOPA's role in a common supervisory regime and consumer protection, its independence and proportionality, the duty to stick to its mandate and inform the Union legislator, and conclude that its mixed financing arrangement threatens its independence.
