Implementation report on the Energy Efficiency Directive (2012/27/EU)

This implementation report assesses the Energy Efficiency Directive. The amendments stress energy efficiency for meeting climate targets and reducing energy import dependence, address poor implementation by Member States and the Commission's monitoring role, building renovation and energy use, costs for consumers and industry competitiveness, and link the issue to the Paris COP 21 agreement.
