Summary

The dossier assesses the activities, impact and added value of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund between 2007 and 2014. Amendments call for impact assessments of trade agreements, monitoring of vulnerable sectors, support for redundant workers and SMEs, lowering the redundancy eligibility threshold, coordination with the Information and Consultation Directive and other funds, and strengthening Trade Defence Instruments.
