Member State/third country intergovernmental agreements in the field of energy: information exchange mechanism

The dossier concerns an information exchange mechanism for Member State/third-country intergovernmental agreements in the field of energy. The amendments revise provisions on Member States notifying the Commission of intended negotiations and draft agreements ex-ante, Commission advice, model clauses and guidelines, compatibility with Union law including competition law, treatment of non-binding instruments, confidentiality of submitted information, cooperation with the European External Action Service, and energy security, with several deletions.
