Summary
Legislative proposal on safety rules and standards for passenger ships, including simplification and Commission delegated and implementing powers. The amendments concern the scope of the safety directive, the certification of aluminium ships and equivalent materials, ship-carried tenders, sailing and traditional ships and pleasure craft, classification by sea area, the role of the European Maritime Safety Agency, persons with reduced mobility, and derogations including for Greece.
