Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): GÁL Kinga (PPE)
Summary
Proposal establishing the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). Several amendments reject the Commission proposal outright; others add data-protection and fundamental-rights references and rework recitals on travel authorisation for visa-exempt third-country nationals crossing external Schengen borders, the ETIAS Central Unit, National Units and Screening Board, the manual risk assessment, and the treatment of family members of Union citizens.
