Summary
A recast of EU rules on the internal market for electricity. The amendments rework provisions on resource adequacy assessment, capacity mechanisms (including strategic reserves and phase-out strategies), reliability standards and security of supply, and on removing regulatory distortions and market failures; recitals address decarbonisation, renewable energy, scarcity pricing, cross-border trade and bidding zones.
