Social security coordination
This dossier concerns the coordination of social security systems. Amendments revise provisions on long-term care, unemployment and family benefits, access to benefits for economically inactive mobile citizens conditioned on a legal right of residence, aggregation of insurance periods, the definition of "posting" versus "sending" of workers, equal treatment of employed and self-employed persons, fraud and abuse, electronic networking of social-security authorities, and the financial burden shared among Member States' institutions.
