Summary
This own-initiative report examines CAP tools to reduce price volatility in agricultural markets. The amendments debate the causes of volatility, citing supply and demand, deregulation, trade openness, speculation, embargoes including the Russian embargo, and climate and input costs, with some calling for an end to the CAP.
