Responsible ownership and care of equidae

This own-initiative report concerns responsible ownership and care of equidae. The amendments revise recitals describing the economic value of the EU equid sector and the varied roles of equidae in transport, tourism, sport, agriculture, forestry, therapy and as sources of milk and meat, and address animal health and welfare, long-distance transport, working equidae on small farms, divergent national rules and rural development.
