Women and their roles in rural areas

This own-initiative report concerns women and their roles in rural areas. The amendments invoke gender-equality directives and TFEU subsidiarity protocols, stress the impact of the economic crisis, unemployment, poverty and depopulation, the multifunctionality of agriculture, family farming, women's limited access to the job market, land and finance, exposure to pesticides and endocrine disruptors, the exodus of women from rural areas, and gender mainstreaming in EU funds such as the EAFRD.
