Summary
This resolution concerns low-risk pesticides of biological origin. The amendments address risks of conventional plant protection products to human health, the environment and biodiversity, the definition and modes of action of biological low-risk pesticides (microorganisms, botanicals, semiochemicals), their role as an alternative for conventional and organic farmers, resistance development, the lengthy approval and registration process as a barrier to manufacturers, and references to the relevant pesticide Regulation and Directive.
