Safeguarding competition in air transport

A regulation on safeguarding competition in air transport. The amendments set out how the Commission initiates and conducts investigations into practices by third countries or third-country carriers that injure Union air carriers, including who may lodge a complaint, time limits and prolongation of proceedings, urgency procedures, redressive measures and their termination, and the principle of fair competition alongside States' right to maintain public ownership of their airlines.
