Summary
This dossier governs interoperability between EU information systems for borders and visa. The amendments address financing the components from the Union budget, eu-LISA's development role and the European search portal and biometric matching service, data-protection supervision by national authorities and the European Data Protection Supervisor with periodic audits, restrictions on transferring personal data to third countries, international organisations or Interpol, and liability and penalties for unlawful data processing.
