Summary
Own-initiative report on corruption and human rights in third countries. Amendments refine recitals defining corruption as the abuse of entrusted power for private gain and link it to human rights violations, instability and conflict, referencing instruments and bodies such as the UN Charter, the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, the African Union Convention, Transparency International and the European Investment Bank.
