Negotiations of the modernisation of the trade pillar of the EU-Chile Association Agreement. Recommendations to the Council, the Commission and the EEAS

This own-initiative dossier sets recommendations on modernising the trade pillar of the EU-Chile Association Agreement. Amendments address adding a trade and sustainable development chapter, labour and environmental standards and ILO conventions, gender provisions, SMEs, intellectual property, the right to regulate public services, the distinction between EU exclusive and shared competences, and involvement of the European Parliament and civil society.
