Towards a digital trade strategy

An own-initiative report on a digital trade strategy. Amendments address opportunities for SMEs and start-ups, cross-border data flows and data localisation, personal data protection and the General Data Protection Regulation, net neutrality and access to an open internet, electronic commerce and the WTO, taxation of large online businesses, counterfeiting, digital workers and the sharing economy, and digital protectionism by third countries.
