Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the economic policies of the euro area. The amendments revise recitals citing euro-area and EU GDP growth, unemployment and government debt and deficit figures, and debate structural reforms, public investment, fiscal efforts, the Economic and Monetary Union and upward convergence, with some texts calling for expansionary fiscal policy and others for a eurozone exit mechanism.
